Børn og Gestalt. 1-årig internationalt certificeret supervisions- og træningskursus
The European Institute for Psychotherapeutic Studies (Euroips)
Diploma in Psychotherapy with Children and Young People
In the process of Accreditation with the new European Interdisciplinary Association for Therapy with Children and Young People (EIATCYP)
Euroips provides training and development in child psychotherapy to graduate psychotherapists who already have clinical experience in working with adults.
Areas of knowledge and understanding are conceptualised within four broad themes and delivered via:
- One x 5 day workshop introducing the overall model
- Six x 3 day thematic workshops
- One x 4 day workshop during which trainees will make a presentation of their clinical work with a child or young person
- A total of 27 days.
N.B. The above schedule of workshops may be lengthened or shortened to suit the training culture of the institute/country where the programme is located, but retaining the overall total of 27 days.
A case study of around 8,000 to 10,000 words needs to be successfully completed. Participants will be supported to complete the case study which can be handed in up to two years from the end of the training workshops. There are required hours for clinical practice and supervision. Because participants will already be qualified therapists we do not insist on personal therapy but strongly recommend it. The programme content will inevitably bring up issues and experiences from participants own history and therapeutic inquiry can be a supportive experience both personally and professionally.
The four broad themes with their specific content are outlined below and will be further published in greater detail in the Trainee Course Handbook (approximately 120 pages) which all participants will receive at the first workshop.

2. The Child in the World
